Founded in September 2010, Iranian Textile Association of Science and Technology (ITAST) was established with the sincere cooperation of university professors and the university educated professionals in the field of textile science and technology. The main goal of foundation of this scientific community is the improving of the knowledge of Iranian textile community, to gather scientists and specialists in this field of applied science as well as enhance the current state of Iranian textile technology. It is certain that rate of improvement will be considerably higher in such community rather than individual activities. Since the foundation, ITAST has planned to provide and improve a variety of scientific services to activists in this field, most of them include:
Provision of scientific and executive services
Planning and execution of national and international conferences
Execution of technical, professional tutorial courses
Publication of books and journals related to the field of textiles and polymers
Cooperation with related organizations in order to evaluate the scientific potential of companies engaged in the field of textiles
Notification about related conferences and seminars
Technology knowledge transfer through Scientific visit from related companies and industries
Execution of one-day seminars and short workshops on innovative technology
Organizing of special training programs
Publishing of scientific booklets in this field
Providing the scientific, technical and professional link between specialists in different subjects of textile science and technology
Cooperation with the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology to enhance educational and research plans and to organize the educational based seminars
Developing of the mutual relation between the universities and industries
Presenting short term courses and scientific publications to up to date the knowledge of experts in this field
Organization of professional and technical short courses in conjunction with international associations
Provision of technical consultants for industries in the field of textile
Cooperation in national projects
Publication of scientific books and journals
Collaboration with Iranian National Standard Organization in developing and designating the national standards
Dynamic and extensive cooperation with other scientific organizations and communities help ITAST keep itself updated, in touch with the national and international textile scientific organization.
